Plasma spraying

The plasma spraying is the most multisided process of the thermal spray processes because it develops sufficient thermal energy to melt on practically every spray material. By use of spraying material in powder form the range of coating materials for plasma spraying is nearly unlimited.

  • Manufacture of surfaces for a lot of applications resistant against many types of wear and corrosion, with defined thermal and electrical characteristics, repair of surfaces and dimensions
  • Good adhesion and small porosity

  • Coating of work pieces with complicated geometry
  • Coating of borings and inside surfaces

Wolfram-carbide-alloys, aluminium-oxide-alloys, cobalt-alloys (stellite)

Application (selection):

Draw rollers, web-guide rollers, fold rollers, tape rollers, gripper and gripper pads, folding jaws and counter parts, welding tongs, temperature sensor


Arc spraying

The arc spraying process uses two metallic wires as spray material. Because of the opposite polarity an electric arc arises during contact of the both wires. This arc develops sufficient thermal energy to melt on the wires continuously. With support of compressed air the melted spray material will be pulverised into particles and shot on a prepared surface of the work piece. The spray particles solidify there quickly and form the coating.

  • Processing of a number of metals, metal alloys and heterogeneous materials for overhauling of components, for anti-corrosion coatings and many other applications.
  • Equipment is transportable for coating on-site.
  • Many coatings can be carried out as chip removing process.
  • Coating of inside areas and borings possible.

Coating materials (selection):
Chrome-alloys, nickel-alloys, bronze-alloys

Application (selection):

  1. Replacement of hard chrome e. g. at piston rods, repair of bearing seats, bearing and slip joints,
  2. Repairs of any sort of geometries after defects of fabrications

Powder Sintering (fluidisation coating)

Fluidisation coating is a widespread powder coating process to apply plastics coating on metal surfaces. In this process, by dipping in a fluidised bed the plastics powder will be applied evenly on a metal surface which is heated more than the melting temperature of the powder. By melting on the plastics there arises a close coating with high impact strength, corrosion resistance, electrical ability of isolation etc. The typical coating thicknesses are between 200 – 800 µm.

Ink distributors, screen-printing frame, glue pans, garden furniture, pipes for drinking water, fittings, fixtures


Electrostatic Powder Spraying (EPS)

During the process of electrostatic powder spraying the powder will be fluidised by air and sprayed on the work piece which has to be coated by electrostatic spraying units. Electrostatic power coating processes will be applied for decorative and functional coatings. Achievable coating thicknesses are between 50 - 120 µm. After spraying the work pieces will be heated to the required temperatures for melting and connecting respectively the powder to one coat.

Coating materials (selection):
Powder on a basis of epoxy resin, powder on a basis of polyester resin

Application (selection):
Applications in the interior with tough, scratch-resistant surfaces, applications in the outside section with high weathering behaviour requirement.


Spray coating with compressed air

TEFLON® will be sprayed with compressed air like common varnishes and afterwards burned in the oven. The available coatings combine temperature and chemical stability with a very good electrical insulating property and a low friction coefficient and form not adhesive and not wettable coatings.
